Pinocchio

Pinocchio is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the children's novel *The Adventures of Pinocchio* (1883), authored by Italian writer Carlo Collodi. Crafted from wood by a carver named Geppetto in a village near Lucca, Pinocchio was originally made as a puppet but yearned to become a real boy.
